  In the December 1937 issue of The Round Table, where most of the seven points which Halifax had just discussed with Hitler were mentioned, a war to prevent Germany's ambitions in Europe was rejected on the grounds that its "outcome is uncertain" and that it "would entail objectionable domestic disasters."
