Ramon Llull devised the Art, a system of rotating diagrams that combined basic divine attributes to generate and test truths, which he saw as a tool for converting non-Christians. He himself rejected alchemy, but later writers attached a large body of pseudo-Lullian alchemical texts to his name. His combinatorial method influenced later esoteric and even early computational thinking.
