Alice Bailey began within the Theosophical Society but left after conflict with its leadership and founded her own Arcane School in 1923. She wrote many books she said were telepathically dictated by a Tibetan Master named Djwal Khul, covering spiritual psychology, meditation, and a coming world order. Her teachings, spread through the Lucis Trust, influenced later New Age thought.
