The founder of modern feminist philosophy.

Affiliations
Part of a radical London circle around the publisher Joseph Johnson. No secret society.

Wollstonecraft wrote A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, arguing that women are rational beings entitled to education and equality. It became a founding text of feminism. She was the mother of Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein.
