Ernst Kaltenbrunner
1903 – 1946 Austrian Chief of the Reich Security Main Office (RSHA)
Successor to Heydrich who directed the security police and camp system to the end.

Kaltenbrunner took over the RSHA in 1943, overseeing the Gestapo, the SD and the concentration camps through the final years of the genocide. He signed orders for mass executions and deportations. Convicted at Nuremberg, he was hanged in 1946.
