Hans Frank
1900 – 1946 German Governor-General of occupied Poland
Nazi lawyer who ruled occupied Poland and presided over mass murder there.

Frank governed occupied Poland as a brutal fiefdom where millions of Jews and Poles were killed, including in the death camps on his territory. Once the party's chief legal theorist, he kept diaries that became key evidence of the crimes. Convicted at Nuremberg, he returned to the Catholic faith before being hanged in 1946.
