Globocnik directed Operation Reinhard, which killed roughly 1.5 million Jews at the Belzec, Sobibor and Treblinka extermination camps. He organized the seizure of victims' property and the deployment of the killing personnel. Captured in 1945, he took cyanide shortly after his arrest.
