Victor Chernov

Chernov led the Socialist Revolutionaries, the largest party of the peasantry, and served in the Provisional Government. His party won the 1917 elections to the Constituent Assembly, which the Bolsheviks dissolved by force the next day. He spent the rest of his life in exile opposing the Soviet regime.
