Ibn Gabirol wrote both sacred Hebrew verse, including the long poem 'Keter Malkhut', and secular poetry. His philosophical work 'Fons Vitae' circulated in Latin under the name Avicebron, and its Jewish authorship was only rediscovered in the 19th century. His exact death year is uncertain.
