Musa Mwariama was a Mau Mau field marshal who commanded fighters in the Meru region on the eastern side of Mount Kenya. He held out in the forest through the Emergency and was among the fighters still active when the fighting wound down. At independence he was one of the forest leaders publicly received as the country moved to majority rule. Details of his early life are poorly documented.
