Graham Wallas was a social psychologist and educator who helped found the London School of Economics in 1895 and taught there for decades. His book 'Human Nature in Politics' argued that political behaviour is driven more by habit and emotion than by pure reason, an early contribution to political psychology. He was an active Fabian but resigned from the society in 1904 over its stance on tariffs. He held the LSE's chair of political science from 1914.
