Robert Fludd was an English physician who produced huge illustrated works laying out a Hermetic vision of the macrocosm and microcosm bound by divine correspondences. He publicly defended the Rosicrucian brotherhood in print while insisting he was not a member. His debates with Kepler and others made him a well-known voice for the mystical worldview against the emerging mechanical science.
