William Robert Woodman was a physician and prominent Freemason who led the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia as its Supreme Magus. In 1888 he joined Westcott and Mathers as the third chief in founding the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. He died only three years later, before the order reached its peak.
