Charles Webster Leadbeater was a former Anglican clergyman who became one of the most productive writers in the Theosophical Society, describing auras, past lives, and unseen planes in books such as Thought-Forms with Annie Besant. He claimed to discover the spiritual promise of the boy Jiddu Krishnamurti and helped groom him as World Teacher. He also helped found the Liberal Catholic Church, blending Theosophy with Christian ritual.
