Timothy Donald Cook joined Apple in 1998 and rebuilt its supply chain as operations chief. He succeeded Steve Jobs as CEO in 2011 and led Apple to become the world's most valuable company. In 2014 he became the first openly gay chief executive of a Fortune 500 company.
