William Henry Harrison

1773 – 1841 American 9th President of the United States

Ninth U.S. president with the shortest term in office.

Harrison won fame as a general at the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811. Elected president in 1840, he died of illness just 31 days into his term, the first president to die in office. His death triggered the first constitutional test of presidential succession.
